HELLO!

My name is Chelsey and I am a New England girl down to my core.  I was born & raised in Maine, and now live just outside Boston with my high-school sweetheart husband, our two daughters, and an overly friendly chocolate lab.  I have a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Roger Williams University and practiced architecture for 5 years before beginning my own business as a graphic designer in 2010. My non-traditional background offers a offers a fresh, unique and comprehensive design perspective. I enjoy working individually with each client, on a one-to-one basis, designing pieces that reflect their individual style and creating something that they too are passionate about.  

Chelsey Emery began out of an unfulfilled search for my own wedding invitations.  I was looking for something clean and modern, but also timeless.  I didn’t want to look at my invitations years from now and have them feel tied to a certain decade.  I didn’t want to just pick something out of a book, and I was frustrated by the lack of customization options.  I wanted to tweak colors & fonts to suit our unique event without incurring a big fee to do so.  

As you might imagine, I didn’t find what I was looking for and ended up designing my own paper products.  Then I did some for friends, and friends of friends, and soon enough, people I had never met were asking me to design paper pieces for their own important events.  I now work for Chelsey Emery full time and it is certainly a dream come true for me.  I often pinch myself to remind me that yes, I really do get to play with pretty paper all day!

Since then I’ve been lucky enough to expand my offerings to include two lines of elevated every essentials - personalized stationery and custom address & book stamps. As well as branding and logo design for small businesses. Let’s get started designing something beautiful for you today!
